Catherine
Crawfield is half-vampire and she’s on the road to vengeance. She’s out
to kill as many vampires as she can and she’s hoping that one of them
will be her father, the one responsible for ruining her mother’s life.
One night she’s captured by Bones, a Master vampire and bounty hunter
and is forced to become his partner. Bones promises to find her father
if she will help him and thus begins her training. Thinking that all
vampires are bad, she is surprised to find the sexy Bones could just
actually be good. Bones is trying to convince her that being half
undead isn’t all that bad. Then they are being pursued by a group of
killers and Cat will have to choose a side. Bones is becoming more
tempting by the minute.
This book is one
heaven of a ride. Jeaniene Frost grabs her reader from page one and
doesn’t let her go for the rest of the story. This is a story of
prejudices, as Cat has a big hate of all vampires until she gets to know
Bones. And Bones? Oh, what a lovely hero Ms. Frost gives her readers.
Suave, sassy, honorable and very hunky. This reviewer fell in love with
him herself. This is a story full of action and excitement that will
leave the reader breathless. One thing though, the story ends on a bit
of a frustrating note that led this reviewer hopping over to the
author’s website and had her sighing with relief. One Foot In The
Grave, the second in this new series will be out in April 2008!
